expert skier.
Oberstdorf offers great skiing for intermediate skier as well as plenty of fun for the
beginner.
Prefer the quaint village ski experience? Look to Oberammergau ski resort or
Mittenwald. Perhaps a smaller resort the ski experience remains grand in this quaint village resort that
offers access to 9 pistes that suit a range of experienced skiers. Mittenwald offers similar skiing with more
reliable snow coverage due to the higher altitude.
Considered by many to be Germany’s hidden gems of ski resorts include Berchtesgaden Land
and Lenggries. Berchtesgaden Land offers skiing for all levels of skiers with 25 individual pistes.
Lenggries is a larger resort that offers 10 individual pistes with 62 miles of downhill skiing. Germany offers
some really fantastic ski deals.
Lift Information
Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers a total of 38 lifts that will accommodate up to 50,000
people per hour. The Ski Paradies Sudelfeld Area ski pass allows you to ski at both Oberaudorf with 30 lifts and
Bayrischzell with 23 lifts.
Oberstdorf resort offers 26 ski lifts that can transport 30,000 people per hour.
Oberammergau offers 12 lifts with the capacity to transport 5,700 people per hour. Berchtesgaden Land uses 30
ski lifts to serve 17,600 skiers per hour.
Cross Country Skiing
Oberstdorf ski resort offers a chic ski experience with over 52 miles of cross country
skiing. Oberammergau cross country skiing offers 31 miles of beautiful and quiet skiing; for those who want
to just get away from it all. Enjoy cross country skiing at Berchtesgaden Land’s 8 miles of
trails.

Located at the entrance to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen resort the Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl
offers grand views of Germany’s highest mountain. Many additional hotels, chalets and apartments serve the
Garmisch-Partenkirchen area. The villages near the resorts of Oberammergau or Mittenwald have charming

There
Airports are located within a two hours drive from many of Germany ski resorts making the

When skiing Obststdorf you will enjoy a stop in to Franzlwirt and the Wilde Mannle located
at the bottom of Nebelhorn cable car. There you will find drinks, lively music and plenty of fun after your
day on the slopes. The nightlife at Garmisch-Partenkirchen rocks at the new Gletschergarten. Germany is
full of fun whether on the slopes or not so finding a hot spot après ski is never far away.
