Officially named the Republic of Finland, this country is located in the Nordic region of northern Europe. Finland is bordered by Sweden, Russia, and Norway with Estonia lying across the Gulf of Finland.

Archeological evidence shows that Finland was settled as early as the Stone Age in 8500 BCE where the inhabitants used stone tools for hunting and gathering to sustain their way of life.

Cross Country Skiing

Iso-Syote offers nearly 75 miles of cross country ski trails and is accessible directly from the surrounding hotels. The Levi ski resort offers approximately 143 miles of cross country skiing giving everyone a chance to explore and take in the breathtaking views.

When skiing Iso-Syote the accommodations at the Hotel Iso-Syote or one of the Iso-Syote cabins offer family centered activities closely located to the runs allowing you to ski from the hotel. The Levi resort offers accommodations that include hotels, chalets and apartments that offer activities, night life restaurants.
